It's hard to predict what 2009 will bring. As we
move into the first full business week, I expect some new layoffs and for the
most part, fairly low morale. Here's my reasoning:
- Holidays are over and people who have a job are back to "the grind"
- Economy still uncertain
- Fear of layoffs
- More bad news from the stock market
- Holiday spending catching up
With all that to contend with, expect your employees and co-workers to be dragging their butts back without much enthusiasm.
